This is the first album I have recorded that contains
none of my own original music. It is also the first
to not contain 'All Australian Songs'.
Is is a collection of some of the most requested country
songs from my live shows along with a few of my own
favourites. I hope you love the great old songs as
much as I do.

Sharon Benjamin has just released
her new radio single, 'Why He Rolls'.
Hot on the heels of the news that SHARON BENJAMIN’s
Australian chart hit single Jack Of Diamonds has also
entered the top20 in the European ECMA charts comes
the sublime Why He Rolls, another of Sharon’s
original songs from her Perfect Little World album,
that scored an honourable mention in the 2006 Unisong
Contest.
If Jack Of Diamonds was a perfect piece of “old
school” country, then Why He Rolls makes a fine
claim to the future of country music in Australia. Musically
it pays homage while quietly pushing the boundaries
with tasty key shifts and harmonies that dip and roll
in luscious waves, and a driving beat that’ll

volumes to anybody who’s missed the kids growing
up, or spent many long cold nights sleeping alone in

Sharon's Debut CD ‘Strike Two’
was recorded at Sound Asylum Studios in 1995. Played
on by some of Australia's finest musicians, the CD showcased
the pairs song writing capabilities along with their
pride in Australian songs and music. The CD features
songs influenced by everything from Blues to Bluegrass,
and from Classical to Tex-Mex, but all with a very distinct
Country Flavour. This CD is definitely NOT based on
what all the female vocalists are conforming to, and
therefore is a fresh way of listening to great country
music with a real Live Vibe.

Sharon Benjamin and Mark Hillier formed
a duo called Strike Two in 1995 to coincide with the
release of Sharon's Independent CD by the same name.
The debut single ‘Ghost Train’, written
by Sharon reached No. 8 in the Australian Country Music
Charts. The next release was the title track ‘Strike
Two’ which entered the Top 30. ‘Greyhound’
which was written by Sharon and Mark, was also released
as a single 12 months later, reaching the Top 40 on
the Country Charts.
Live performances cover musical styles
from Country to Country Rock, and from Rock & Roll
to Rock. Strike Two is now known as the 'Sharon Benjamin
Duo'. The name may have changed, but the Versatility
to perform all your favourite songs remains. From the
50's right through to today's best Country Music including
their own original material.
